It
looks like the donation that saved Chuck's life was from a dead man
this entire time. The episode ends with one of the most shocking
cliff-hangers this show has done: Bart Bass is still alive. That's a
pretty big reveal and it sure explains why there's a lot of secrecy
but it just leaves me with more questions. Questions such as why did
Bart fake his own death? That wasn't the only big development that
happened this episode. The real Gossip Girl gets her site back as
Serena is tricked into losing it. Dan isn't sure if Blair feels the
same way that he does towards her. He also wonders whether he should
go on some summer program to help his writing but he decides against
it. Nate and Lola get back together officially. It was all a pretty
good episode, with the shocking reveal making me want to see the next
episode immediately. What made this episode so good was how it was
all tied together so neatly, with all the lies and deception being
deftly handled by the writing staff.
