Revenge
Episode 15: Chaos
By: Carlos Uribe
Revenge is a show
about a girl who goes to the Hamptons to have revenge on everyone
there.
Spoilers Ahoy!
It seems like
Victoria and Conrad have finally decided on the terms of their
divorce. Conrad offers her the deed to Grayson Manor but is unwilling
to give her stock options in Grayson Global. Victoria balks at the
offer in the beginning of the episode, but by the time the engagement
party starts she agrees to it. Conrad signs the paper and it seems
like this storyline is over. That is except for the small suggestion
that Victoria is planning to go to the SEC with something. What is up
with the Securities Exchange Commission being used to build up drama
in so many soaps these days? It's not known what she knows that can
hurt the company but whatever it is, it's probably very good. I'm
really excited to see where this is going.
Tyler makes his
final return in this episode. He kidnaps Emily and is the one who
stole Amanda's box. He uses both the box and Emily to get some money
from Amanda. He also tells Emily part of the truth to turn her
against Amanda. He leads her to believe that Amanda was playing Emily
this whole time and Emily wasn't really looking after Amanda this
whole time. Tyler gets the money but he keeps both the box and Emily.
That is until Amanda learns about all the good things that Emily has
done, such as framing Tyler for her killing Frank and that Emily
actually pushed Jack to getting with her. She goes back to Team
Amanda. It was all very nicely done and very twisty. Tyler will not
take the money but he plans to kill Daniel at the engagement party
and frame Emily.
There's also
another character that returns. This is the Sensei. I don't really
trust him, but he seems to be back on Team Emily. He does manage to
get the box back for Emily but I'm not entirely sure how he did this.
He even helps out the real Emily in her time of need. I'm not
entirely sure how he plays into all of this. He either plans to help
our protagonist or has turned against Amanda. He seems to suggest
that he took care of Tyler and Emily. This might mean that he's the
one who actually killed Tyler and that he's actually a good guy.
The engagement
party that we've been waiting for happened tonight and it was
glorious. The series points to two different likely killers. One of
them is Emily, who in having regained her loyalty decides to kill
Tyler before he can kill Daniel. There's also the chance it is
Daniel. Tyler had started to reveal to Daniel part of the truth about
David Clarke and Emily's intentions. It's unknown how much he knows
but he does have a lot of blood on his shirt. The police might also
think it's Jack, who tried to move the body to try and help Emily,
since he thinks she did it, to get away with murder. There's the
off-chance that it's the Sensei, but the series has yet to position
him as a possible killer. Which is what makes me suspect him.
This episode was
simply fantastic. I simply did not see that it was going to be Tyler
who dies. The show has gone from me wondering what events led to the
party's drastic murder to who was the killer. A lot of people have
motives and I'm sure that there's some facts we don't know. What we
do know is that Tyler is dead, the picture he was holding is gone,
and there's two immediate suspects. Revenge has so far being great,
that I have no doubt that this mystery will be well developed.
