Mini-Review

Castle
is a show about a mystery writer who helps his lover solve crimes.
Spoilers
Ahoy!
It's
time for the bigfoot episode of Castle! In what should come as no
surprise to any viewer, Castle believes that bigfoot might actually
be the killer while Beckett doesn't believe in bigfoot's existence.
It does lead to a great scene where the two discuss their
perspectives. What I mean is that Castle explains why he's willing to
believe anything while Beckett explains why she only believes in
theories with concrete evidence. That scene is nice in that it allows
them to express their beliefs from a place of character. Everything
else was basically what you would expect from Castle. Castle tries to
push for his bigfoot theory. There's a point where the writers
pretend that their going to reveal bigfoot's existence of him but of
course it's just a believer in a suit. The real killer is actually
her employer who had killed her roommate a year ago. The blame had
been placed on the roommate's boyfriend so he was living in the woods
for the whole time. The weekly case was the kind of fun light-hearted
case that Castle can do in it's sleep. It was entertaining but it
really wasn't particularly impressive. Overall, it leads to a solid
but forgettable episode.
